Your Success Depends On Asking: What’s My Why?
Emotional and mental resiliency is something that’s dominated my mind recently.
- Resilience, as defined by Dictionary.com means:
the power or ability to return to the original form, position, etc., after being bent, compressed, or stretched; elasticity.
- ability to recover readily from illness, depression, adversity, or the like; buoyancy.
Everyone has to fight and struggle to succeed — some more than others. So why are some people more successful than others?
Much of what it takes to be successful and resilient lies in the reason you’re doing something — the “why”: WHY am I doing this? WHY do I want to do this?
If it’s not a strong enough “why”, then when the pressures and storms of life come crashing in, you’ll be tossed around and not able to recover and keep on going toward your goal. You’ll bend and break.
No matter what business you’re in, and especially if you’re an entrepreneur, you’ll need to be elastic. And I’d say that goes double for you if you’re in (or thinking about getting into) voiceover and acting!
I’ll share what I’m learning along the way, and hopefully you’ll read something that encourages or helps you at just the right time.
Thanks for joining me on this journey!
